It's that time again! Seed starting. I'm not as excited about it this year now that I know how much work it is! So far two flats of white onions have sprouted, and one flat of parsley. Black-eyed Susans and Carnations are waiting to sprout. That's just the tip of the iceberg for sure. This weekend we will also be starting peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, and whatever else is on the list for needing starting 8 weeks before last frost.
Outdoors, we have done some work as well. Pulling out some of the over-wintering broccoli that didn't do well at all (though the purple sprouting broccolis might still take off), weeding, and killing a few cabbage worms that managed to survive the winter. ARG!
It should be in the 50's today and tomorrow so we may see if the soil is warm enough for some carrots under a row cover!
