More Spring happenings

We dug out a patch of yard last year for our corn and squash. However, it sloped pretty sharply towards the southwest corner and so it took a bit more watering work than we liked. So, this Spring's workload includes building up a retaining wall on that corner. We decided to make it a little more permanent than the wood boxes.

The raspberries are up and looking healthy. So, we need to hurry up with our other projects and build supports for them as well!

Last, the Santee Broccoli that we planted last Fall(!) has been producing very well. It's a sprouting broccoli (as opposed to the calabrese heads that most people think of when they think of broccoli). That means it just keeps putting out shoots which you harvest as you need.
