Late Season Abundance

Tomatoes are FINALLY turning red. These are Matt's Cherry Tomatoes. They fared pretty well through the bursts of heavy rain that caused the larger tomatoes to split. So we had a crop loss and delay from weather... not to mention a soil imbalance that got corrected late.

Beans, beans, and more beans. The bush beans are done but the pole beans are not.  I think we had purple, Rattlesnake, and Kentucky wonder beans. We are leaving the rattlesnake beans on the vine to dry.

 While we work on garden projects, Bandit works on some of his own. He made himself a dirt nest and killed some of my flowers in the process. But, it's hard to be mad at him when....

...he looks this happy!

 I think this is a Delicata Winter Squash. I'm not sure if it will make it. We have major powdery mildew all over the squash plants. =/

 Here's Ben prepping the bed for our fall broccoli transplants. We have Santee, Purple Peacock, and Di Ciccio.  He turned in a few bags of humus & manure so the fall crops would have nutrients.

Here's the bed all planted with the new little broccolis and covered with netting to help keep the Cabbage Moths OFF.

Also ready in the garden right now are black cherry tomatoes, red bell pepper, purple bell pepper, and green bell pepper. MMMM. Oh, and the watermelons will hopefully be ready soon!!
