STILL moving rocks....and starting plants

Ben built a sifter thingie so we could remove the dirt from the rocks quickly. Oh the rocks, SO MANY rocks. We're over half done moving them at least but we need to hurry it up, because our first delivery of garden dirt (12 cubic yards) arrives on Thursday! Hooray!

In other news, we added a third shelving unit with lights to accommodate the expanding seedling plantings. In fact, we started several more crops inside tonight. Lets see....

  • Cheddar Cauliflower. Yum.
  • Arcadia Broccoli
  • Di Ciccio Broccoli
  • Red Onion
  • Yellow Brandywine Tomato (just one)
  • Black Cherry Tomato (just one)
  • Jalapeno Peppers (2 plants)
  • Sweet Bell Pepper (1 more plant)
  • Marigold
  • Express Red Cabbage
Then we transplanted some of the seedlings to bigger pots....
  • Rosemary Plants that were started from seed
  • Spinach
  • Sweet Bell Peppers
In other updates, all 50 strawberry plants have leaves. The blueberry plants are almost hardened off.... The crazy out of control peas were put in planter boxes with a climbing apparatus we created....  The impatiens are looking awesome... Shasta and Painted Daisy seeds were planted. We're well on our way!
